One way to put in marks every 5.0 seconds is to do the following.
1. take the attached file and rename it to the exact name of the wave you’re working on, iincluding that the ending be .trs and not .txt. Put it in the same subdirectory as the wave.
2. open this .trs file in TextEdit or some other text editor (cntl-click, Open with …)
3. on the third line put your name where mine is
4. also on the third line put the file name of the wave (without the .wav)
5. note the length of the file on line 7 (e.g., endTime=”100.426216125″)
6. open the excel file that has all the times in 5 second increments and copy and paste that amount (not going over the time of the file) into the area with <Sync …
7. save
8. open the .trs file in transcriber
You’ll notice breaks every 5 seconds.
